Upcoming St. John Events
Want to add even more spice to your St. John vacation? Then come hang out with the locals at one of the island’s awesome events. Accommodations tend to fill up for many events, so be sure to book in advance.
- Short Course from Maho Bay to Cinnamon Bay, about 1 mile
- Intermediate Course from Maho Bay to Trunk Bay, about 2¼ miles
- Long Course from Maho to Hawksnest, about 3½ miles. Swimmers can compete in the long course as an individual or as part of a 3-person team.
- Swimmers may also compete assisted by snorkel and/or fins in an “assisted swimmer” category
Beautiful costumes, great music and the wonderful energy and spirit of Virgin Island’s people make the adults parade a success every year. The parade on St. John involves children and adults. Each theme performed by established troupes, some of which have performed in the VI parades for years.
Sign up for this awesome annual event if you’re feeling really strong, or come on down and cheer for the competitors. Either way, you get to spend Labor Day at spectacular Maho Bay, and that’s pretty sweet. The Triathlon consists of a 1/2 mile swim, a 14 mile hilly bike ride, and a tough 4 mile run, followed by beach picnic and cold beer.
St. John’s annual Paddle Board race celebrates the beaches and waters of the Virgin Islands National Park. The race starts and ends at Maho Bay. There are three courses to choose from, making the race great for beginners and elite paddlers alike.
Four days of villa soirees, beach parties, boating, excursions, sun, rum and a mystical Reggae concert in the ruins.

Don’t miss this super fun annual gala at Butterfly Villa in Fish Bay supporting St. John’s precious dogs and cats in need of a furever home. The ACC is a great cause and this is their biggest fundraiser of the year.
The 13th annual Friends Gala is back! As always, there will be live music, dancing, fabulous food, fine wines and champagne.

This annual foot race from Cruz Bay to Coral Bay is a must bucket list item! Registration is limited to 1500 participants. The course begins and ends at sea level but in between reaches an elevation of 999ft.
This fundraiser benefits St. John’s awesome pre-k through 12th grade private school. There’s dinner, a live band, silent auction, and a live auction that’s sometimes raucous. Not to be missed, all your St. John friends will be there.
Crystal blue Caribbean waters, toes in the sand, country music and cold beer! Nope, you ain’t dreamin’… it’s the 4th annual Love City Country Music Festival on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. If you’ve been here then you know… it’s going to be a wild ride!
